Who we are

Matthew 25:40

"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."

The two greatest commandments are to love God with everything you have and to love others as yourself.

Mark 12:30-31

'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. ’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

With this in mind we are a church built on the foundation of Christ's completed work of redemption on the cross and the subsequent hope that His resurrection has brought to the world.

1 Corinthians 16:14

 Do everything in love.

With love, compassion and respect we encourage everyone to live an abundant life  in the grace and unconditional love of God.

Luke 4:18-19

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; he has appointed me to preach Good News to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted and to announce that captives shall be released and the blind shall see, that the downtrodden shall be freed from their oppressors, and that God is ready to give blessings to all who come to him.”

Our history

Ps Jon and family moved to Yanchep to pastor Son City Church in Two Rocks, a church without a minister at the time that was in danger of closing.

Over the next few years the church moved to Yanchep meeting in a number of different facilities. Due to the growing size of the church, locations became limited and we faced many challenges trying to find somehwere suitable to meet.

Returned to the Phil Renkin Centre in Two Rocks. The Church is committed to helping to meet those in need in the local community with practical help and spiritual support.

What we do

Matthew 28:19-20

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

We believe in supporting people in both their spiritual growth and practical needs.

To this end our services contain 3 key elements:

-Biblical preaching/teaching

-Encouraging fellowship.

Matthew 5:14

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

Beyond the church walls for the wider community we run free courses in financial budgeting with trained CAP* volunteers and operate an emergency food relief program supporting local people in the area.

A team of volunteers also provides a monthly church service at a local residential care home for those unable to travel.

Son City Church also supports local YouthCARE school chaplains as well as missions in Indonesia and the Kimberley region of WA.
